Ø Development of well done liturgies that are engaging to young people.
Structure
How often should the board gather?
Board agreed that it will meet together once a month until there is a stronger foundation and then move to a quarterly schedule.

DSJ Sports League
—Scott Vestnys visited parishes this past fall to find out the level of interest for growing the league. He reported on the history of the league and that there is a definite in growing the league to other sports particularly volleyball. The problem with a volleyball league would be to procure a site with a sizable gym.
There is also a high interest in a bowling league.
The Softball league is in its 7th year and going strong. Scott would like more parish based teams. He allowed teams from their leagues to play last year, but the sportsmanship was so bad that he does not want to invite those teams back. All the teams need to understand that this is a league sponsored by the Catholic Church in the DSJ and to behave with good sportsmanship.
Scott will have a report for the board for the April-August season.
Open Discussion
For the Mid January meeting we need to discuss what is a successful year for us in 07—what are the goals and what are the measures of them?
Do we want to do our own social justice as a board, in our parish or partner with other parishes? The YA’s in deaneries two know that here are different things going on in their parish and in the deanery.
Make ongoing calendar consisting of all the different justice events available to the deanery at the same time.
We need a deanery representative present at each of the board meetings in order to communicate, network, and publicize the information to their deanery.
Deanery representation is crucial.
The board voted unanimously to work on inviting a YA representing every deanery on the board. This also includes representation from the Chinese, Vietnamese, Korean and Latino communities.
